MHS CHEMIC MUSIC CARD BLITZ NIGHT:

The MHS Chemic Music Card is a credit card-sized discount card and features terrific offers from local businesses!

Volunteers Needed for Chemic Music Card Sales

Drivers: 
  1. Thank you so much for the gift of your valuable time. It is greatly appreciated.
  2. All drivers must turn in a copy of their driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance (both sides) in order to transport students. Please fill out the MPS form and attach a copy of your license, registration and proof of insurance and return them to the MHS Athletic Office prior to September 17. (Early turn in of all forms reduces the long lines at check in!) Due to budget cuts, Music Parents do not have access to school copiers.
  3. Please arrive at the cafeteria before 5:30 and proceed to the driver check-in table.  Pick up your driver’s packet, sign for the cards your team receives, and proceed to your assigned team table.  Attendance sheets will be inside your packets.
  4. Your driver’s packet will contain:
    1. a map of your assigned area with specified streets
    2. driving directions in case you are unfamiliar with your assigned area
    3. the cards for sale by the students in your team. It is your responsibility to account for the cards sold and the cash collected.
    4. a tally sheet to help with card and cash accounting
    5. names of your team members
  5. Have your team captain take attendance.  Once all team members have arrived or absences have been resolved, captains may proceed to the card table to turn in their attendance sheet and pick up any final instructions.  Then you may leave.
  6. Please exchange cell phone numbers with the MHSMPA representative at check in.
  7. Please keep track of cards sold and cash/checks received.  Checks are accepted and should be made payable to MHS  Music Parents.
  8. Please return to the cafeteria by 8pm (or sooner if you have covered your assigned area).  Your team will report back to their team table and a counter will come to you.  Please return your driver packet to the counter so that we may reuse it next year.  The counter will reconcile cash received and number of cards returned.  When the counter is finished,  you and your team are free to leave. 

Counters: 

  1. Counters collect the driver packets, records the team sales, and collect money and unsold cards.
  2. Counters arrive at 7pm in the cafeteria with calculator in hand for a short instructional meeting regarding the Team Leader Accounting Sheet and the process to follow.
  3. Please feel free to bring a book to read while you wait for your teams to return.
  4. One counter is needed for every four teams. Approximately 18 volunteers needed.

Runners: 

  1. Six runners are needed.
  2. Four runners from 5:00 to approximately 6:15. They help guide students, drivers and parents, as well as, fill in where needed. (Yes, you can always stay longer!)
  3. Two runners are needed until counters are finished. They collect individual baskets and accounting sheets when counters signal for pick-up and take them to the final accounting table.
